Automotive Technician

Are you a qualified automotive technician with a passion for the outdoors? Do you enjoy four wheel driving, motorbikes, hunting, fishing and adventure? Are you stuck doing the same old mundane jobs day in and day out?

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic automotive technician to join our team in our modern and well equipped workshop located in Ikamatua (50km north of greymouth).

​

 

Nearly every day will be different! A typical day will include some of the following;

 

• Installing aftermarket accessories

• Fitting and balancing wheels and tyres

• Carrying out warrant of fitness inspections

• General servicing

• Fault diagnosis

• General Repairs

• Light fabrication

• Wheel Alignments

• Air conditioning

• Auto Electrical repairs

• Off road Motorbike and ATV repairs and service

• Hydraulic Hoses

• Onsite / Roadside breakdowns

 

We do it all and we do it to the highest standard.

 

Ideal applicants should have the following skills & experience:

 

• Level 4 or higher qualification or equivalent

• Strong problem solving skills

• Clean NZ drivers licence

• Excellent communication skills

• High standard of work with attention to detail.

• Solid previous work experience

• An ability to relate well to other staff and clients

• Effective time management

• Honest and reliable

• Strong Health and Safety focus

• A sense of humour never goes a miss

• Current WOF certificate if held
